POSITIVES: The crafting recipes for this mod are easy to follow and master, they can be found here at the MINECRAFT FORUMS. The mod requires the installation of the ‘Simple Parts’ mod to run, however this is an easy install. The mod is currently fully updated to Minecraft 1.5.2, is available for client and server and features very pleasing textures.
NEGATIVES: There are no negatives for this mod. It was released bugless, runs smoothly, and overall is a very sleek and stylish modification.

The Hardcore Enderdragon mod gives our boring old dragon some cool new moves to make him much harder to beat! One of the biggest (and most obvious) changes would be that it can now breathe fire. It can also bite you (which sometimes poisons you, do a cool whirlwind move that will blow you away from it, even breathe freeze balls! Another sweet looking move is the dive bomb, where he flies above you then speeds head first at you.
The Enderdragon itself isn’t the only thing this mod changes. Certain things around the End are a bit more hardcore as well. For example: Ender crystals will throw tnt around when hit. They will also make up to 5 endermen around them instantly go aggressive on you. Even thing like scattering obsidian when the dragon flies through a tower has been added! For a full list on what has been added, click here.
The hardcore enderdragon is just such an awesome addition to minecraft. The end isn’t normally that hard, but this mod makes it something really special. I’m sure we’ve all been waiting for something like this. Well, now it’s finally hear.

You’ll need to use the materials made inside the Tool Station to put them together.  Just click on the icon of whatever tool you want to make on the left, place the materials in, and pull the tool out.
These tools will never break, either.  Well, they won’t disappear when broken.  You can repair them by putting in the same materials used to make the pickaxe head into the first tab of the Tool Station.
There’s also a multi-block structure in this mod.  I may not be a huge fan of multi-blocks, but I actually like this one.  It’s a giant furnace that runs off of lava, and is used in making various alloys in the mod.
This mod is way too complex for me to state literally everything about it.  That and it’s meant to be played with, not read about.  Various items need various parts to make, and when you put them together in different combinations, such as an ax with an iron head, an obsidian binding, and a wood rod, then you’ll get a ton of different effects from each of the parts, and it will look like you’ve made it from iron, obsidian, and wood instead of looking like the same weapon with different enchantments.  Jump in and see what kind of cool tools you can make.
If you like an obscene amount of customization  I would highly, HIGHLY recommend you download this.  I can’t think of a way for minecraft to be more customization than by choosing every material that goes into your tools and weapons.

  • PROS: The loaded schematics are an efficient way of replicating a structure, while still allowing you to have the warm feeling inside you knowing that you technically did it completely legit! The animations/ghosts are well textured and do not create and eyesore! It is fully updated for Minecraft 1.4.7 and is available for single player, and SMP!
  • CONS: This mod may be a bit overwhelming for a new Minecrafter! But other than that I cannot pick fault with it, the GUI is simple and easy to understand, and it really compliments the true belief in Minecraft of legitimate builds!
There are currently no public changelogs available, a big shame if you’re interested!

Pam’s Simple Recipe Mod for Minecraft 1.6.4 Positives and Negatives

PROS: This mod is part of a mod collection which really helps to create a fantastic dynamic and variety within Minecraft! Not only is this mod fully updated for Minecraft 1.4.7 but it is also fully compatible with server multiple player and client single player! A small, but very useful mod!
CONS: I can’t really pick a fault with this mod, it is extremely useful and simple! And there is no complaining about its size as it is part of a mod collection! Just a great, all round modification! Unfortunately, there are no public changelogs available at this time!

  • Huge Mushrooms spawn everywhere and in every biome.
  • “Hulk” Mushrooms vary from brown to red this means all of the mushrooms.
  • There is a certain rarity of the mushrooms spawning.
  • You can change the rarity of the mushrooms spawning buy modifying the config file and setting the rarity from 0-5, 5 being the highest spawn rate and 0 – no spawning at all.

As you can see from this image, clay is spawning naturally in the minecraft world with no water around! When you install this mod clay will not only spawn beneath water bodies, it will also spawn naturally (similar rarity to iron) underground. So when going mining you’ll have just as much chance to find clay as you will finding coal and iron. This is great people who love to use brick as building material or maybe just want minecraft to be a bit more realistic.
A small mod but a practical one. I highly recommend this mod to anyone that might want a bit more of a realistic minecraft experience. I personally really like his small addition.

To change the spawning rate of the “extra” seeds you have to open the config file and change the  ”rarity”, it ranges from 1-10. At 10 the “extra” seeds will spawn as often as the wheat seeds do; at 1 they will spawn very rarely; at 0 they will not spawn at all.
It is awesome that simple mods like these can give you pleasant surprises every now and then. Little things like a random seed spawning can cheer you up and grant you a good mood.

PROS: Not only does this mod brighten up your world, but several new crafting recipes are also added into the game which can be used by each flower! This mod provides a new function which is a simple way of dying wool! This mod is fully compatible with all other mod!
CONS: There are not any negatives, the textures and functions are all extensive and great! Perhaps the only minor adjust, is that I’d prefer it if changelogs were available and if the flowers all had specific names!

The mcpatcher program is very straight forward to use. However, when installing mods or texture packs it is still required that you download and install the mod and its required mod beforehand, such as modloader. Also,  it is highly recommended that you still keep a backup of your game before attempting to patch you game. Especially if you are a new comer to a patcher. If you are not experienced, it may be difficult to recover a broken jar and return it to normal condition. You have been warned, in saying this; I doubt a player using this program

  7. Go to “bin” folder
  8. Open “minecraft.jar” with 7zip or winrar

I’d say for those people who dislike what the Mojang team has done to the default texture pack, this Nostalgia-Craft texture pack will bring you back to that bright shocking green grassy world of Minecraft. It is very much worth a try for both old and new players just to know the feel and know how Minecraft was like in alpha versions.
